I like my headphones like I like my women - bigger cup sizes feel better pressed against my head

I got those when I first started DJing...they were ok for the price as a beginner. If you are getting them for DJing I would recommend spending the extra for the HD-25 II's...after having those the 205's feel like they have no punch in the low end at all.

For producing try a semi-open back or full open back instead of a closeback headphone - they will have a more natural soundstage.

Exactly this, can't speak for the 205's though.

The 205's if I recall are like a vice grip on your head for the first couple of weeks of wear. AFter that they stretch to the size of your head and are more comfortable to wear for long periods.

bass response in them is fine, for production anyway!
dont want them to be pumped with too much fake bass

I have these headphones and they're pretty good. very nice bass response but the highs are still visible. Not the clearest headphones ever though.
Like people have said, I'd recommend spending a few more pounds and getting the next step up. BUT, for the price, the 205s do me fine :)
