single tracks to cd or multiple?

when you guys burn tracks to a cd for a mix, do you burn 1 mp3 a cd, or multiple mp3s?

i'm trying to decide what i'd like better. i'd probably prefer 1 track a cd, sure it will be more expensive in the long run but i can do transitions that i'd want rather than be forced to.

yea i wondered this, not owning cjds of my own, and burning some songs down for a mix it was quite awkward trying to get the tracklist in the right order on just two cds...

surely just burn 2 copies of each cd then you have the freedom of mixing whatever without wasting a bunch of money?

I always find with having a CD with loads of tracks on its hard to read a tracklist in the dark, and time consuming?

only 24.99, not too bad.

i don't follow? :|

i mean, i would have no problem in burning 1 mp3 to 1 cd.. it'll just be time consuming and that's a lot of CDs to handle. however if i did burn multiple tracks to a cd i won't be able to transition a mix freely. get what i'm saying?

he means you'll have 4 CDs, 2 of each, and that means you can mix any two songs together because you'll have each song on 2 CDs

Burn multiple tracks to 1 CD, then burn the same tracks to another CD.
Don't be stupid. :a:

EDIT: Dubloke beat me to it.

I reckon I might do this 1 CD, 1 track thing, means when I get a new MP3 I just have to burn 1 disc and it wont take as long to find a track. Or maybe do it like an EP, 3 tracks from the same artist on 1 CD. Going to take time though!!

fuck 1 track per CD....

put atleast 4 or 5 on. That way youll have less to carry, and still enough room to write the contents largely on the CD.

Experiment with what works best for you, after a while you'll find the thing that works best for you, but keep the tips you get in mind though.

Yeah, these suggestions are awesome and I appreciate them all.

My only worries are say for example I do the multiple tracks to 1 CD method.. I'll be like, okay... I want to transition Dark Energy Flare into Crippled Camel.. But I notice they're both on the same CD.

That's why I think I'd rather do the burn multiple tracks to one cd, and copy that same CD to another.

Some vinyl dj's do this when both sides sound good together.
And there are quite a lot of records where both sides do sound good together.

While we're on the subject of CDs, can anyone recomend me a half decent CD deck for about £50-£100? thinking of investing in one to practise on

I'm going to go with the burn 4-5 to one CD, then doing the same to another CD.
