Lesley Gore Dubstep

Post by MuyBurrito » Tue Jan 04, 2011 10:03 am

Hey, brand spankin new kid here.
Actually, googled searched "dubstep + forum" to find you guys and I haven't read the rules cause I'm low on energy.

So:

Somebody badass needs to make a dubstep remix of Lesley Gore's "Sunshine, Lollipops, and Rainbows" to prove their dubstep prowess. I decided this would be the best place to get the word out..

Fucking boil this 60's smack down into excellence, dog.
Lesley Gore.

Here's the original:

Who'd have thought it?!?!? :t: :W:

Also too low on energy to read the rules but not too low to write several paragraphs of soul sapping shite?!?

Well - since Lesley Gore is my namesake, I feel the need to represent properly...
and suggest using this tune for the remix instead..

you know - a lil chop chop - affect the vocal - make it sound like it's echoing though time..
is dark - bpms compatible..some nice horn work in that..

Troll? I'm quite serious.

Ah, come on. Surely there's SOME ONE on such a massive forum with an appreciation for the concept of modern remixes for our parents generation of music?

There are remixes and then there is slapping a big, fat, bait as fuck wobble over the top of it and calling it a remix...

There's also doing art you hate just to find something new to love about it, which is a much broader approach to a good day than being a dubstep izan. Bass heil.
