i'd recommend tattooed tears by nick broomfield, the bridge and the arbor. the arbor'll be a bit hard to come by as its ~JUST come out but the bridge is definitely worth a watch. harrowing to say the least.

The Cove, The Corporation, Food Inc. of course, Zeitgeist (does that count as a documentary?), so many more...

but far and away the one I recommend to all is Jesus Camp. seriously one of the top 5 scariest films I've ever seen and it's all really happening right now.

what kind of emotions do you feel when you put 'repost' in a thread rather than contributing? I mean ostensibly it achieves nothing, it's a complete waste of your time, but maybe there's an underlying motivation I'm unaware of.

I don't know? Shall I put a question mark at the end of everything? Don't want to make you angry, do I?

not quite sure why you feel the need to be such an tnuc about me using two question marks in a post.

you don't seem sure about much that's why you keep using question marks, isn't it?

thats right, i'm not quite sure why you have to keep trying to be an internet hardman, being a dick to everyone? does it make you feel clever?
it's funny how you base this on one comment where i used 2 question marks.
tnuc!

Adam Curtis - Power of Nightmares... part of a series.

Manages to be disparaging of the government in a way thats much better presented and respectable than a hundred windows movie maker conspiracy docs with melodramatic music and narrators going "look at the proof, look at this proof, heres proof that this happened"

He's got lots of stuff thats almost all worth checking out.

Something a bit more experimental (and recent) from him:

[had to remove the video cus the audio was missing but its caled "And it felt like a kiss" and it should be easy enough to find]

I've been watching some good techno docs lately; Speaking in Code, We Call it Techno, and High Tech Soul are pretty good.

Also that Bassweight thing that came out a while back is good.
