Slime welcomes in the new year with a suitably chilling offering for deep winter. We are proud to present the debut release of Winsile, a promising talent from Russia who's evocative combination of dark ambient textures and sparse dubstep rhythms will find favour with those looking for something a little more cinematic in their bassweight.
'Camomille' opens with a haunting female vocal underpinned by melancholy keys. Skeletal percussion drives the beat forward as the piano spirals into a beautiful but plaintive melody.
'Echo 11' is a sullen depth charge in a frozen lake of sound, glacial chords sparkling around a cavernous beat creating a mesmerising Eastern-flavoured piece.
'Plasma' combines choral melodies with half-whispered vocal samples to create something unsettling yet compelling. Brooding strings and splintered drums help build the track into something with a memorable widescreen quality.
'Emptiness' merges wistful keys with distant echoes of female vocal to create a track with a dark foreboding essence.
