Carribean Rum and Ginger Beer

Post by cosmic_surgeon » Wed Jan 12, 2011 7:16 pm

I know there's some connoisseurs out there... Now I'm not big on drinking, but when I'm having a tipple I love spiced rum and ginger beer. Question: Is Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum alright? Or am I best off sticking to my Morgan's Spiced? One's cheaper than the other and it's my girlfriend's birthday/DMZ/Shogun Audio in the next 2 months so I gotta strip back.

Also, what's the best carribean rum and ginger beer combo money can buy?

Love this drink!

It's gotta be strong in terms of how much rum you put in the mix for me, it's an awesome drink though.

Old man made me a ginger wine + ginger ale at xmas - was fucking well nice. Also, Bundaberg ginger beer is the nuts tbh.

@Noam, didn't know there was a Captain Morgan's spiced rum either, but it turns out there is. £12 a bottle can't be the best but man's on a budget... would love to get my mits on some of that tackle Scrilla posted though - classy tnuc.

init looks well stush!

i'd like to try the Rhum Agricole's, special type of rum made with pure sugar cane, serve it with sugar syrup and lime, make the drink yourself, farmers rum from Dominica i think but it sounds bangin

Rhum Agricole sounds incredible mate, would love to put a few of those away.

:W: :W: A fellow connoisseur. I'm a big fan of Angostura.
I'd also suggest Flor De Cana

the 7 year is good for mixing. I like it with Old Jamaican Ginger Beer, limes and a splash of bitters.

You can buy Appleton from the supermarket. I know Tesco and Sainsbury's both sold it when i lived in england (3 years ago)
