Doesn't sound too hard to make, just sounds like the bass' waveform has a gentle spike at the start..

Are you asking what are the shakers and hats? They're shakers and hats. :corndance:

Hahaha, they're often used to set the pacing. Mind you the tempo can be constant, but you can make a track drive or languish depending on how you program those tops stuff. Also used to put the groove, or shuffle, or just greasiness into the track.

That, my friend - is youtube compression ahha!

You can get a similar effect by bouncing your hats at a low-ish quality mp3 and layering it low-ish in the mix over your 'dry' hats.

if your talking about the noise on the actual kick drum, i think that may just be the youtube compression you're hearing. you could replicate it with a bitcrusher, that adds noise to a kick. Otherwise, just add a burst of white noise to the front of your kickdrum and have a 5-30 ms envelope on a LPF 'gate' it, if u will.

i thought that initially but on pangaea's memories 12'' it's there and hearing things through other players etcetc it's still there . ! i'm going to go back into hiding for a bit to fish out as many tracks as i can with that sound.
ill report back with my results

    :Q:

on another note , the downgraded quality of hats and shakers through youtube is really nice - i might be weird for thinking it lol but i am who i am

I've been known to bitcrush and low pass hats and shakers. So far no one has kicked down my door and taken me to a camp.

haha, just make beats usually, never really take stuff to like a point where there is a beginning middle and end, like where it is a song.
