I was just reading up on harmony at wikipedia and found a link to some sort of sister site (wiki books, apparently). Anyways, it's a pretty amazing resource for anybody looking for information on music theory. Everythings sorted by category->sub category. Here's the link:
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Music_Theory
It's very similar to the way articles about theory are setup on wikipedia, and it seems a little more professional in areas
I personally found the musical style sections interesting, as it entails how different genres are played from a theory perspective
thought I would share for those who didn't know about this place,

Good find man!
I posted this in a thread a little while ago but I think it is worth re-upping.
It's more specific to piano but still pretty damn useful.

"Dance music has grown in prominence since the 1980s, especially in North America and Europe. Notable artists include Fatboy Slim, Orbital, Basement Jaxx, New Order and Aphex Twin."
If I was to dance to aphex twin I`d have to be on some heavy heavy drugs.

Not bad, but there's not a lot of the real writing going on. And if there is, it's the real conservative classical music rules. I'm gonna try to find a better one this w. E.

Actually he mostly plays 4/4 to the floor Acid on his gigs. And tbh I was a bit disappointed by zhe apex Lordship. He sat down on a chair and clicked trough a bunch songs in ableton. Couldn't tell if it was itunes he was toying around with until he started playing with the wet parameter of some glitch plugin....
I was playing on the same night, and the whole club was buzzing over the fact he came to play. However, he was not in the mood to mingle with other artists
