Yeah, I actually don't mind it, but I won't buy it or actively listen to it. I find it less grating than On a Mission, In For The Kill or Magnetic Man stuff to be fair. As far as commercial tunes go it's not too bad, but his subby rave destroying stuff is infinitely better.
Distance - Fallin is going to be the one though. It's easily the best tune that's broken through to the mainstream so far, along side James Blake's stuff.

OH NO BREAKAGE WHAT ARE YOU DOING? KEEP YOUR SOUND UNDERGROUND DONT BRANCH OFF INTO OTHER STYLES, KEEP MAKING DARK ROLLING DNB AND DUBSTEP THAT ONLY A FRACTION OF PEOPLE LISTEN TO.
Its a decent tune fucksake, if shit like this starts getting played on daytime radio I might even start listening to it again.

This is complete fucking dribble. Anyone using the whole 'different styles, can't stay underground forever!' argument can go and jump in front of a bus full of dicks. This song is pure poo.
It's not the mainstream adapting to his sound, it's his sound adapting to the mainstream. 'Mainstream' isn't a GENRE, for fucks sake. You can't experiment with it or use it in your music. You make music for it.

This song is great, and better than the aforementioned songs.

If that tune didnt have that vocal in it this thread probably wouldn't even have been started, he's made a good tune, maybe a bit more housey than what we;ve all heard before but its still good, the production is tight as fuck and it doesn't scream sellout.
No, mainstream isn't a genre, but it has certain aspects to it which no matter what genre of music will still apply - look at the style of vocal combined with the style of the video.
Don't sit there pretending mainstream music doesn't exist and that it doesn't have certain characteristics. I hear this tune and I think "nice one Breakage, you've made a tune which could probably appeal to people other than geeks on dubstepforum"

TBH this really isn't this bad... I'm still a much bigger fan of Breakage's other stuff, but i'd rather have a talented artist like breakage "go mainstream" with success than some shitty artist who makes far worse music.

Really? It'd still be boring without the vocal. Bland mish mash of various styles to come out with some sort of catch all, generic music that people will lap up.
I like pop music, but this is middle of the road garbage.
