On it.

Thinking, now that we have your attention, maybe you'd be more receptive to feedback; do you think that you could include a wav or FLAC for those that buy vinyl? I know that outsourcing it to 3rd party is far more practical and its done to prevent piracy and that, but I don't have the equipment for ripping my vinyl and (I'm sure that is true for the majority of others) I always like to have a digital version of it, yet I still manage to get about 65% of it from other sources. Would it be possible to d/l it from your site with say a unique number included in the purchase from your website for an additional 50 pence of the original cost to cover costs?

Its rather frustrating to want to listen to a track when you're out and about, but since you bought it on vinyl or its kind of rare you're left either having to buy it, again, or looking for cheeky d/l's from sketchy sources. Be the first label to implement that strategy and I can assure you my continued business if you continue making such great releases, I'm sure others would follow since this isn't the first time I have heard this proposal.

so can someone please explain...

I've never bought records before but just started tonight, and I want to buy this track and will be in London this weekend, so can I walk into BM Soho and pick it off a shelf on Saturday?
The online stores say available from Friday so does this mean its also on shelves on Friday?

Appreciate any help, cheers!

Think the point especially of the XXX series and Box Clever is the limited number.

And this is achieved by denying those whom have already purchased said exclusive/limited press album a legit digital copy for a nominal cost? I'd understand if they want to limit it to a vinyl only release, but what I cannot understand is that most labels don't offer this as an extra upon said purchase, which is done at their own detriment as I have explained that even rare tracks get posted onto those sources if you're willing to look hard enough for them; again, its just a proposal--one that I think carries with it a great opportunity to serve and further cater to its target demographic: vinyl collectors.

I've said my piece. The rest is for blackbox to decide.

Anyway, big up lurka on this one, and I'm also eagerly waiting the Can't Sleep LP.

@ Blerim - most shops should have stocks by the weekend and will probably sell you a copy.

re: digi-download for vinyl buyers, this is something I've been considering, and I value the feedback. It shouldn't add very much at all to the manufacturing cost, and I wouldn't avoid doing it just because the vinyl is supposed to be limited. I will try to sort something out for the very near future.
