Classic rock songs to mix with dubstep?

Post by yamaz » Sat Feb 05, 2011 11:02 pm

I'm playing a set at a house tonight and I play dubstep mostly, but people requested some classic rock as well. Know of any good remixes or even just classic rock songs that groove well with 140 bpm dubstep?

Much appreciated you guys!

Definitely Phil but man dubstep remixes of anything is weak sauce. Just play classic rock. Original mixes.

anything 70 or 140 bpm really. Keep in mind a live drummer is not going to keep perfect tempo with the edm song you are trying to mix with it.

My advice would be to find a break where the drummer is keeping pretty good time and just loop that and then bring it into the song.

but fuck it idk what I'm talking about.

Standing in the rain, with his head hung low.
Couldn't get a ticket, it was a sold out show.
Heard the roar of the crowd, he could picture the scene.
Put his ear to the wall, then like a distant scream.
He heard one guitar, just blew him away.
He saw stars in his eyes, and the very next day.

Bought a beat up six string, in a secondhand store.
Didn't know how to play it, but he knew for sure.
That one guitar, felt good in his hands, didn't take long, to understand.
Just one guitar, slung way down low.
Was a one way ticket, only one way to go.
So he started rockin', ain't never gonna stop.
Gotta keep on rockin', someday gonna make it to the top.

Got doubles of this on vinyl.
Double drop, slew dem every time.
