create your own samples, i dont mean like drums and stuff. I mean like drones and whatever from recording something and fucking it up. i was just looking at the hypnotoad sound and it turns our its a turbine engine in reverse. shit like that just intrigues me, how do you people think of these things.
i really need to get a mic and get on this.

and post examples if youve got some and the original. it'd be a good to hear what people come up with.

I've got a few secret techniques.

Sampling and recording things just seems to add an extra level of personality. Also constant recording of game ambiences and spaces IRL too.

It keeps me on my toes.

Scream into a mic
Reverse it
Add 261 distortion plugins on resampling
Toilet break
add Dblue Glitch or Effectrix - CHANGE NO DEFAULT SETTINGS

Sample-fuckery has been a a major factor in my sound since... well... a long time ago... Im not really trying to embed my stuff, feels so wrong, but, on my soundcloud a few that come to mind are Ket in Kaechon (My own voice, saying the letter 'K', timestretched accross the track and pitched up)... The Road Ahead (me n a homie playing an acoustic guitar, we just reversed and downpitched the recording and got that)... IDK, yeah, I think sample-fuckery really is pretty key in EDM in general, yeah.

I haven't delved too deep into processing my samples. The most i'll do is add distortion and reverb. I just love making drum loops from random shit like my dog running around on wood floors or shaking a pill bottle. Only been sampling a couple months but it's already upped my production immensely.
