I have a question about the way you add sub to your midrange. So i don't mean how to make a sub or mid
cos after years of experimentation i can say i have my bassnoises well under control.

My "dillemma" is the following:
When i make a bass i use a synth, create a melody and resample different versions. Then i cut off the low end around 120-150hz.
I then add a sub with the same modulation rate on another synth layer, mostly the same synthpatch as the mid bass.
BUT. I'm one of these dudes that likes to experiment further, so i cut up the sample some more and add more modultation.
But now, my sub isn't correct anymore. This takes me ages each and every tune to do this by hand.
Since i love automation my tunes change all the time. So having to correct the sub for every single change is hell!
I know about splitting a bass into 3 frequenties and did this for a long time. But the problem is the low end never sounds as solid as
a loose sub placed underneath.
So im wondering what do you guys do? Maybe someone has a nice tip or workflow to speed this up a bit....
