Got asked to play at some gals B'day this mornin, had my set on the night, thought i ent gettin payed so may aswell play what i like ennit. So anyway dropped nutty riddim by chunky bizzle n got kicked out cus it was the gals B'day n didnt like i was playin, wouldnt let me back in n all my stuff was in there so i kicked up a fuss and they rang the police haha. Anthying ever happend to any of you like this??

Tbf i don"t know what she wanted, she booked me for Dubstep but alot of people were requesting some tunes i didnt know, to name a few, cry me a river, firepower and some scary monster or sumut by srillex but don't really keep up to date with alot of the new stuff tbf (probably why i never get booked ) :/ I'm sure cry me a river is a old song though! haha its all bless though was a funny night and got free drinks

yeh that cry me a river tune is by borgore. well shoddy imo.

A couple of my mates got asked to play a set for some girls birthday, she even gave them a tracklist of what to mix. They turn up with a bag of vinyl to a table with a laptop on top. They ended up playing a set of dubstep and grime to a bunch of posh girls who wanted charts and filth, apparently they ruined the girls birthday. At least they got paid £100 of something though.

Why is there always an obligatory person who asks for borgore? The day I play a set and someone comes up and asks for mala or pinch I will be too shocked to continue

It'll never happen, because people that like the deep stuff tend to respect the dj enough to let them choose for themselves what to play. If they play a couple you love then it makes the night even better.
Filth lovers just want their favourite choons played over and over without any thought to mixing, selection, progression of the mix etc.

Obviously doesn't apply to everyone, but generally i think that's true.

The police got called cause me and my mates were sitting in a car listening to grime late at night. We were out there cause we were still mashed and everyone in the house was asleep. They arrested my mate for being drunk while in the car with keys on him

So you weren't arrested for playing grime but for drunkenly kicking off.

If I'm honest, I doubt it was because you were listening to grime. They probably would have done the same if you were listening to dubstep
