im not usually one to ask about this kind of thing i usually like figuring it out myself, i have learnt alot of what i know this way plus reading through different posts on dsf. but for this particular sound ive been trying for a wee while to no real success..
im not looking for some sort of tutorial just a point in the general direction so i can have a play around and figure it out and id be grateful !




the sound im after is after the first drop, approx 30secs in. the WOW WOW WOW sound.

its just ur standard dubstep sound with a shit load of trebley distortion.
try bouncing ur sound down first then adding distortion and eq plugins.
it is going to sond really nasty and not in the trendy kinda nasty your looking or so ur gonna have to eq compress, eq copmress, etc.

it does sound like a "clean" distorted bassline. and some chorus before the distortion? sounds really compressed as well like there was too much fx added

Saw waves with bandpass modulated slowly to get the "wow" sound with lots of distortion, reverb, chorus etc. That's my guess.
