Post up tunes that was years ahead of the game before dubstep became big

Mine are…

First up bogeyman v dj Lombardo out on vehicle records was a classic and fused that rolling breakbeat garage sound, I also remember the first time I heard the typical half time beat that we all love today when j da flex used to play a dub of a track called grimey by Lombardo or bogey man that sampled dillinjas time to get grimey.
only find this link (back when vinyl ruled!)

Pulse x a big anthem that everyone played, got sick of the remixs but still sounds fresh today. Think youngster used to play a whole hour of this and the millions of remixs that came out lol (to think this was made on fruity loops) who was pulse x?????????

Have to mention El-b as it was his sound that paved the away and I know everyone say it was the groove chronicles that did it for them, in particular for me was buck n bury which took the cheesyness out of garage but still keeping that sexy bump to the beat.

Toastyboy-the knowledge (nuff said init really lol???)

Steppin up feat mc Dee and the t-power remix by the sonz of mecha. these guys also recorded as uncouthyouth and to me was the first to swing breakbeats with a dark basslines, in fact stepping up was one of the first mc tracks I heard. Remember when hatcha was on upfront fm and he used to rinse it every week.
Have to take my hats of to them boys as they was one of the first to properly support dubstep when they had breaksfm as well as doing their own breakbeat thing. Found out one of them is hellfire machina and Yoof had some bits out on the latest ghost album + i heard some a whole heap of new dubs which are pretty tasty.
Could only find stepping up on this mix.

heres the t-power remix they did

Darqwan-said the spider aka oris jay
Yet another roller that crossed the boundries of breakbeat, garage and the first time I heard this was when I used to listen to breaks fm which was the first time I heard djs like caspa aka quiet storm, hotflush records and oris was doing a guest show with the sonz of mecha aka uncouthyouth or yoof who worked with j da flex (think I still have the show).
I always felt oris could of been massive and i mean really big!

Hackney soldier’s aka shut up and dance made some top tunes at the time garage was at its peak. Love the skippy beats and these guys have been re inventing themselves for the last 30years. Even dj hype came out with a few beats which I preferred more than the zinc stuff but that’s a personal preference.

deekline & Freq nasty was also on the swinging beats vibe and everybody and crew used to kill it everytime, freq was way ahead of the game and I remember hearing this on an old heartless crew tape, dunno what deekline is doing now and no i hated i smoke the reffeer lol

Really? As much as I love this tune, it seems more like a "oh pinch is playing with the new sound too" kind of track imho

Still sounds like it could've came out today. Hard to believe it's over a decade old.
