Let’s get happy and romantic! We’ve got mix no97 by Calgary’s Jamie Sho. A veteran of the Canadian music electronic scene it seems like Jamie Sho has been just about everywhere and played with all the big names blowing through. Enjoy this mix with some one you love, or not. Stay strong single peeps, we have more fun anyway.

“On vous aiment beaucoup!”

Bio:
Jamie Sho began DJing and promoting electronic music in Ottawa Canada in 1998. He grew his roots in Oldschool Ragga-Jungle but as the genre “matured”, the good vibes he had come to love were replaced with something much darker. Jamie felt pushed towards the upbeat and positive sounds of Funky Breaks, House and Electro. More recently Jamie has found himself deeply intrigued by the highly melodic depth and dimention some say was introduced to the electronic world through Dubstep.

Over the past couple years the bass music scene has seen the start of a kind of re-unification of all genres and musical barriers being broken down constantly. With Jamie’s various influences over the years he now fully capitalized on this movement and often switches between genres instigating full on dance floor roits. Reaching back towards the genre that ignited his passion for electronica Jamie’s sets and mixes are usually loaded with oldschool ragga flavour and massive basslines that would bring the lion out in any of us. With many genres under his belt and a huge musical appetite you never know what to expect aside from complete dance floor destruction.

Jamie has been crushing venues from Newfoundland to Hawaii for several years and since moving to Calgary and making the transition into the dub world he has become a member of one of North America’s premiere production companies The Supreme Hustle along side Mark Instinct & Slim Pickins.
