Radio 1 use the listen again numbers to gauge the popularity of the specialist shows, so it helps preserve the existence of a decent show. As far as I know any links that used to get posted for the Mary Anne Hobbs show, and maybe others, were removed until they were not available on listen again anymore to show support.

Yeah it's definitely best to listen to the show on iplayer until it's unavailable. I'm pretty sure the mods do actually advise against having download links for shows that are still around on iplayer.

No one has asked and to be honest i dont see a problem with it but ive deleted the links until say tuesday to play fair
