honestly man it's barely listenable. youtube videos for mixing on your daw and then come back it seems to have potential but I cant hear it

You've definitely captured the essence of this type of music, but the production is bad. The thing with this type of stuff is that it works because it consists of crazy noises and wobbles etc but produced really really crisply and to the highest standard. Its not like an Indie band recording where even if the production values are bad you can still here the melody and the words etc, if this type of thing doesn't have good production values then its just a load of noise. Push your production, read up on EQ, compression, gain structuring..

It seems as though you haven't EQed anything. Sounds like everything was just put in and then turned all the way up. Check out these threads.
