Don't know how many of y'all care about fashion, but even if you don't you have to admit that this is awesome! They opened the show with limit to your love
Congrats James, great look man, Fendi is a huge house with a lot of creative people in both it's past and present...
Zomby lands Prada
James lands Fendi
Anyone know any other dubstep fam who's made it on major runways? I keep imagining Karl Lagerfeld bumping some Blake in his rolls
i DO NOT support this in any way. The verdict is not out on Mr. Blake.
I'd be more than happy to watch him DJ B2B W/ Kode9 @ DMZ.
But I'm not really feeling that record much, maybe it'll grow on me.
FRACTAL, AM I MISSING SOMETHING, CLEARLY THE MODERN POST DUBSTEP SCENE IS JUST TOO DARN SOPHISTICATED FOR MY DUMB ASS TO UNDERSTAND, SO GO AHEAD AN KEEP YOUR HIGH FASHION,
I'LL TAKE SOME GHETTO RAGS AND TALL CANS TO THE CLUB ANY DAY!

Lol, I know it's cool to hate on things that are "mainstream" and popular, but I for one am not ashamed to admit that I love fashion. my wife is the only Fendi Specialist in the PAC NW and to me, fashion is art, just like music. To each their own, but lay off the caps lock key if you can help it
I knew I'd get some responses like this, it's just amazing how closed minded people can be about things in such a forward thinking community
James remixes hella pop stars, so a move like this is hardly out of the ordinary from him. The song in question is a fiest cover for crying out loud
i know nothing about fashion (never heard of fenti) but its always good to hear quality music in the media.
out of curiousity, does hi-end fashion like this have much of a history with innovative dance music? my impression has been that fashion shows generally host already well-established djs. was there ever a time that interesting producers were creating songs with the catwalk in mind? ...what kind of djs played at fashion shows in the '89-'91 type days?
I've got no problem with it being used in an artful creative way like this, but what I saw on a tv station here, it being used for a commercial of the bold & the beautiful or on a real shitty award show -insert cursing-...That's just a shame.

Fashion shows are all over the place musically, but since a lot of people in fashion club/rave, sometimes some good stuff gets in there. A couple years back Kode9 let prada use zomby's 1up for it's main shows. Kode knows, he's a little more open minded than most of us
Yea, I'm kinda anti fashion (also, not ashamed to admit it) I pretty much only wear used/thrift clothes.
It sorta seems vain or superficial, I'm just starting to resent the fact that everyone is exploiting Dubstep,
In regards to JB, I guess it's just not really my thing, I did enjoy his boiler room set though.
He's really talented, and I like his techniques, the production on the LP is pretty unique.
But he's no Burial, Shackleton, MALA, Zomby, Kevin Martin, or Kode 9

Oh well
Yeah, I'm not criticizing it and I know it's a clip of it, not talking about that either just saying about that bold & the beautiful thingie being wrong (from my point of view) great use of it in your vid.

It's called publishing/performance royalties and it pays artist for their music,
they could only have their music played in underground clubs to a bunch of chin stroking teens while stacking shelves as their main income for the rest of their lives
or
they could have an art director of a large global fashion house, think their music is cool enough for near-naked women to strut down a runway to, while getting cheds,
I know which one I'd choose.

I understand people's uncertainty given the vapid and materialistic quality that runway fashion often exhibits. However, you have to give it to Lagerfeld. The guy is a G. And this collection is based on Dadaism and looks fucking cool in my opinion. So more power to the creative team at Fendi for having good taste in music. Also, gotta big up Untold for being first dubsteppa on the runway as far as I know.

Word. Lagerfeld has has his hand in every house at one point in time, man is a genius! I love what he did with Chanel last year
What show played untold? Which song, if you can remember? Anaconda would be hilarious
