Hydraulic sounds

Before I get flamed for being a newbie/having no posts, apologies if this sounds like a stupid question. And yes, I used the search bar to no avail.

Anyways, I was wondering how to get those robotic hydraulic piston sounds you'd find in a lot of Datsik/Excision, Skrillex, etc. stuff. I've been experimenting and messing with Massive for a while, but I can never get anything close enough.

For example, 0:36 in the video below.

Thanks in advance! :D

If you're talking about the samples, go to a factory or scrap yard and record that ish. Not even kidding.

I don't think those are synthesized sounds, but they are samples.
You'll need to search for some good sample packs

You want stuff like this perhaps
http://www.pacdv.com/sounds/mechanical_sounds.html

haven't checked myself, but a quick google search of "mechanical samples" or "sound effects" should bring some good results for you

You used the search bar? Really? Truely? Did you forget to maybe use the magical searching properties of your own eyes perhaps?! Maybe?! Hmm?! because last time I checked there was a collection of information on how to create all this kinda shit right at the top of THIS PAGE.

To cut a long story short though because obviously you're too lazy to read a few lines of text to get the information you need I'll summarise it in a bold, easy to read. sentence underneath this one.

They just sample from films.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction guys, really appreciated. ^_^

@paravrais: The insults were unnecessary, but I appreciate the help nevertheless. The song on your soundcloud link in your sig is pretty sick by the way.

Yup they're not always synthesised, and it's not one sound either. Get a robotic sound and pitch shift it, time stretch, give it some chorus etc. Then you cut up small segments of that and mix it in with some other sounds to create a little melody out of all your sounds. If you do try and synthesise a sound like that, you need to layer a lot. One little pussy saw wave isn't going to get you a sound like that, to put it bluntly.
