[FEEDBACK] Hans Zimmer - Time Remix (Dubstep, Remix)

Post by TheBrownie » Mon Mar 07, 2011 2:16 am

Hey guys, I saw another user post their remix of Time and I fell in love with the song, so I decided I'd give it a try. This is my second attempt at Dubstep and Music Production too, please leave feedback and ways to improve the song, and my skills too. :)

If there are any issues with the song, as I know there will be, please say so!! I did have a little trouble on volume control of the whole thing so yeah, please keep your fingers on the volume control just in case.

EDIT: For some reason, the original track wasn't louder than the bass in Reason, it got louder after I converted it... :u:

UPDATE: I fixed some of the sound issues I had and made it a little better.

Nothing I can really complain about besides what you pointed out..... Like I said in my comment on the track, it has an amazing vibe to it. Idk maybe its just me but I nodded my head at the beginning and i just nodded it faster and faster until I was almost head banging and than it started to slow down and I was all like... "fuuuuckk yeaaaaaaaaaaaah"..... so yeah.

LMAO other than my odd description im REALLY digging this. Sick work man.

Thanks, I'm currently working on bringing down the levels and stuff. I played it on my iPod and it doesn't really have the volume issues where the song overpowers the bass as long as I use a Dance or Electronic EQ. I wanted to put more FX into the song, but I didn't really know what to use.

Really enjoyed this, you got a really nice groove going around 2 min.
Nothing much I can say, except for this was awsome.

I really like the wobble you are working with. A few suggestions: I believe the drums are nice, but a lot of the time I can't hear them. I know you said you were having volume issue. Would try turning down your bass/wobble section it is a bit overpowering. Also, I would work with your LFO's so that they "help" the track along. They sometimes seem a bit random. I definately think you have something going there if you give it a good once over. For the mastering of the song try giving each of your instruments it's own eq and adjusting until it all works together in harmony. Again a great start.

Would love to hear your feedback on mine as well. A different style but let me know what you think.
