Im certainly bigging up Psychedelia, I readily admit that - the post is about *MY* favourite genre and why I like it.

I didn't really want to get into trying to play it off against other genres in a very direct way because its an opinion piece and cant really be conclusive.

I certainly didn't want to minimalise other genres importance, all I said was that it probably took more guts to be a hippy than a punk (which I believe is true) and that other types of music are defined in different ways to Psychedelia which is uniquely defined by its ideas rather than its mechanics.

I love and respect all kinds of music - this blog post is about *my* favourite and the reason why I like it.
