Used the search option, didn't find a thread on this. My question is:

Where did the term 'Brostep' come from?
If possible, who invented this?

Someone made one of those shit, dime-a-dozen threads about heavy, tearout dubstep and why so many people hate it and he happened to mention that he called it 'brostep' and it escalated from there......

I think possibly this is 'genesis' >> http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=108874

The funny thing is that it needn't have gone on any further than Joe Muggs' first post on the first page, let alone almost 2 years. C'est la vie.....

joe muggs wrote: yep, and hard dance / hard house / happy hardcore / whatever are THE great survivors of the rave world... you just need to accept that people genuinely love this stuff and that it fulfils a fundamental need in them for dumb hedonism, and move on!

i thought it was a girl on this forum?
i remember her starting a thread where she teased one of her producer friends for his brostep music. Once it caught on, she started another thread lamenting the creation of the phrase. But it was already too late, for now she had become death, destroyer of worlds.
