What are the most up to date monitors/subs
What would you guys say the best monitors and subs are at the moment. I am looking for the most up to date or best speakers out there. I am not looking for some crazy shit like 100k wilson audio shit. Specifically what I am looking for is, something any of the great bass weight artists would use in the studio. I want to hear what they are hearing basically.

Just because you are a character, does not mean you have character.
Re: What are the most up to date monitors/subs
IMHO, stay away from KRK.
My suggestions: Event, Adam, Genelec, Dynaudio (I have Event ASP8 and Adam A3X)

What if Hitler played industrial? White noise.

Good for you! (The events being £800 and the Adam's being £300 having a frequency response that stops at 60hz)Susceptor wrote:IMHO, stay away from KRK.

The rest are also prohibitively expensive. Why not just recommend some PMC's with Bryston amps and be done with it.
However...in the honest opinion of many much more qualified people who review many sets of speakers, try the KRK's. They are good speakers for the money.
I'm sure those who can afford more expensive speakers think its "cool" to hate on entry level products but really guys, leave the recommendations to the professionals.
But in seriousness dman, to point you in the right direction we need a figure really. Then it's up to you to look up reviews and demo speakers til you find the right ones.
Don't just ask for a "What is the best" answer because pretty much no one on this forum has tried out ALL of the speakers and even if they did they still would not be able to give you an objective answer.
