Rumours is a new Glasgow clubnight dedicated to bringing you the best in bass music and electronica from the UK and beyond, with an emphasis on quality music, a heavy sound system, cheap drinks and an affordable price at the door!
For the launch night we're bringing you the Glasgow debut of Dark Sky, all the way from London town! Dark Sky had a fantastic year in 2010 starting with their irresistible future garage take on The XX's 'Crystalised', and they have since followed up with a handful of original releases on big labels such as Ninja Tune and Black Acre, as well as remixes for the likes of Kelis, Ben Westbeech and more. Their addictive sound is a soulful blend of uk garage, dubstep, uk funky and house and is sure to get the windows rattling and your feet and hips moving!
On top of that we've got support from some fine local talent including grime addicted mischief maker Jinty, who hosts one of Subcity Radio's most listened to shows Gutter Riddim, and of course we have our talented residents Indra, Skandy and Krikle...
And the venue for all this...? Well we're taking over the 350 capacity basement of a big lapdancing club in the city centre, complete with a dancing pole, a cage and an exotic fish tank adorned bar! (strippers not included!) We'll be further fitting it with a serious sound system, extra lighting and décor to transform it into a unique venue for a full on BASSment party!
