Today i purchased Sony Acid Music Studio 8 and im wondering how to make dubstep with it. I know im a noob but i dont really know where to look in the manual lol

i believe on page 62, second paragraph i think, it says how to make the wobble bass. Or you can search the glossary at the back for terms like "datsik, skrillex, YOI, excision" etc. sure it has something on it.

You just start making it man, sequence some 2-steppy drums, get some subs rollin over it, some creapy atmosphere...

noone can tell you how to 'make dubstep' ... learn how to work acid, and youll be able to make ANY genre.

Nobody can tell you how to make a tune, my suggestion is don't aim to make anything in particular, that's the best way to learn any form of software imo

Okay what i was thinking is maybe making a drum beat in an external editor like fruity loops, using Massive on Acid and just take it step by step from there. I might have a look through the whole manual though, but when im not half asleep

You should be able to make beats just fine in acid? Learn one DAW first, then worry about learning two, lol. DAW's are all-encompassing workstations usually though, and using 2-in-tandem like that is really only useful if one has a stock synth you like or w/e...

seriously tho op, if you haven't, check rusko's masterclass, he was using acid at the time so this should get you started

I bought acid music studio 8 today..it was an impulse buy..and i have absolutely no idea what any of the controls and shit are...im so confused but i want to learn so badly and i'm determined...how do i even get the thing to make noise?! i literally have NO clue what i'm doing whatsoever. I just want to be able to make my own beats thats it. gah can someone please help me?
