So i have never really been fond of reason, but what the hell is reason record?
And can someone tell me what is the point of the mixer that he has on his desk and the reason audio going through there, is that like when i see in the "big studios" when they are using pro tools, just a smaller version of that? i have alwyas wondered this, coming from a FL user here.

reason is a DAW that come with midi instruments. for a bit extra you can get the "record" add on to reason (reason record) that will allow you to record audio along with midi from reason.

that mixer if I'm not mistaken is a mackie firewire soundcard/mixer. basically you connect to your computer and it routes the software audio into the OTB mixer
