Brostep no longer cool?

Post by Krew » Thu Mar 17, 2011 6:21 pm

I swear the new 'in' thing is to say you hate on all filth/brostep and pretend you listen to the deep artists, the deeper and more unknown the artist the cooler you are viewed amongst your fellow Hipsters :6: at least this seems to be whats going down on my facebook :P

It could be that, but, it seems like a domino effect ever since the first head hipster posted something to do with "Deleting all my Datsik peeps make room for some Pariah killing the sound atm" :/ they all seem to be on that "deep sound you know where its all like melodic n that yahh" :)

I just wish so many people didn't think that not being brostep makes something deep. Drives me fucking a crazy. Don't get me started on people using the word ambient.

Really?

That's sad.

Solitude's 'Ambient Dubstep' mixes are great though.

I've never, ever been into brostep (apart from Coki's tunes, but I personally don't think they qualify because, you know, they actually have rhythm and soul) and it has nothing to do with wanting to be cool.

Burial or Mala himself could profess their love for Borgore and it still wouldn't even remotely change how I feel about bullshit like that.

What if they, like me, just straight up don't like obnoxious midrange-driven bullshit?

Fuck musical open-mindedness when it comes to bullshit like Borgore.
