Yeah, I have the jist of mixing but I'm having a little bit of trouble....i need some help from someone with experience

I don't want to tell you what you don't want to hear, but I will anyway.
Practice practice practice!
If you can beatmatch with kickdrums, then just keep practicing, you're 90% of the way there.
Listen to the hi hats. Listen to the snare drums, and listen carefully. You're just used to listening to kick drums. Get out of your comfort zone.
You should be practicing your mixing, not posting on DSF, cos nobody will be able to help you much over the internet unless they tell you to go back and keep practicing!
