Dubstep Dreams

Post by hayze99 » Fri Mar 18, 2011 4:32 pm

Nice shoegazey dream thread alert.

I always put albums on as my alarm to wake me up, but sometimes I just fall back to sleep with the album playing full blast. This time it was Roots Manuva's - Brand Nu Second Hand and it was sort of messed up.

That night I had a dream that I got in a knife fight with Roots Manuva, then Diplo came to help me. It then turned out that it was actually Chef posing as Roots Manuva (don't really know how that worked) and the real Roots started chasing me down a hallway. I finally lost him and walked into a weird room, at which point I got offered a gerkin by Nick Frost, and then woke up.

Was messed up.

Ha ha.

Whilst not dubstep related, I had a dream I went to a d&b night recently and the only track played was Mr. Happy, over and over again.

What a nightmare.

I once had a dream that Mala, Pokes and Loefah were sharing a spliff with me in this orchard. We were all sitting back admiring the moon when Mala turned to me and said "When the five grey vans pass, you will know the time is right for picking". Woke up, chuckled, carried on my day. On the way home from college BAM, 5 grey vans in a row drove past me. -q-

Also dreamt Pinch hit me with a bag of sand in Sainsbury's and said "A black rooted iris for you to rest upon"

What is it with me and these dubstep prophecies?
My name is Dom and I like making ambientish music and drinking tea. Nice to meet you.

I've posted my most memorable ones in various threads before but again...

I dreamt that I was in some landscape that looked like some sort of Salvador Dali desert scene and Youngsta told me that he still had the wav of Loefah - Midnight. Turned out to be true as he said in that DSF interview.

And the latest one was seeing the cover of that Sicko Cell tune and it saying "Produced by Shaun Ryder". And then I knocked over a vase in the my local record/furniture store owned by Youngsta.

My stupid dreams just generally consist of my teeth falling out or going shopping naked and wondering how I forgot to put my clothes on. :\

Haha I've had Youngsta dreams too.. except Youngsta looked absolutely nothing like himself even tho I knew what he looked like, Ben Verse was there too (again he looked nothing like the real Ben Verse). Very confusing :|

I never have dubstep dreams. Do have dreams about going digging for records and finding all sorts of good shit though.

Most of my dreams consist of me being chased and attacked by people and monsters, me fighting or brutally killing people, teeth falling out. Parodies of the days events, or meeting a beautiful girl, talking to her then going back to her place then waking up just before anything particularly good happens.
