how do you automate in fruity 7
is there a way like in cubase to do this, i currently use sx3 but feel fruity 7 has a better work flo, so if i can get this sorted i think i might stick with fruity then just mix down in cubase.
if you right click on any knob and then choose edit events you can draw an lfo curve or use the lfo tool and tweak the knobs to have it create a curve. you can also use the record button to record any knob tweaks, etc. and when you play back later those tweaks will be automated. you can also use automation clips. the manual covers all of these types of automation.

really? I switched to cubase sx3 because I found fruity prohibitively slow and I used it for years! I just didn't like how in order to make one small change I had to make a whole new pattern. That sucks.blaze wrote: i currently use sx3 but feel fruity 7 has a better work flo,

you can duplicate the track and add a small change to the duplicated track.decklyn wrote:really? I switched to cubase sx3 because I found fruity prohibitively slow and I used it for years! fl7 has made sequencing sooo much easier. Don't have to use the crappy pattern sequencer at all now, u make your patterns into clips and arrange them in the same horizontal track. Then if you want to change a pattern go 'make unique' & u have a duplicate to mess with. I've just gone back to fruity from cubase (for a while anyway). Seems to be sounding more solid these days too.
Bring back the step... and the dub!
