Police Brutality - Loose

Post by eldoogle » Tue Mar 22, 2011 5:53 am

Soundcloud

I'm wondering and asking for a few things. They are:

Do you like this?
Is it average?
What do you like in particular?
What doesn't work.
General Advice/Criticism

Thanks.

I dont dislike it, it sounds pretty average, how do you want it to work/it just sounds like a chill daydream/who do you expect to listen? I like that it sounds clean.. its not cluttered. i have an issue with cluttering my songs i feel. i dont think you can ask what doesnt work because.. this just seems like a song somebody enjoyed making for themselves and nobody else.. i dont think its interesting enough to just listen to, but thats just my opinion. my general advice would be to put alot more time in, this is a good skeleton.. see how you can change the sounds your using to make the song different, and add more personality!! chill track!

I agree with all you said. Today I finished it up real quick since adding more stuff isn't going to make it better.

Here's the final mixes, mastered quickly by myself in Ableton. I kinda threw on the same settings for all three tracks, a limiter+compressor+EQ 8 combo.
