Starting on April 7th, Irie Cartel will be stepping their game up by bringing you more artists from out of town and out of state. In order to afford the higher DJ rates, air fare and accommodations, we will need to introduce a small cover fee to help us with costs. This money will help us book the artists you love but do not get to see very often. We will still have the option of getting in for free before 10pm, and the cover charge will only be 5 dollars afterwards. Thank you for helping us take this roller coaster to greater heights.
The biggest reason this event has been successful is because of all the positivity that emanates between you all. Please pass that energy forward and introduce yourself to someone that you have never seen before. We honor your creativity and individuality so don't be ashamed to completely lose yourself and be a nut case on the dance floor, just don't hurt anyone, haha. You, the steppaz, are responsible for the massive success of this event, not us, and we thank you for sharing your passion for music and dance with each other.
Please do not tag in the venue, and please stop others if you see it. Temple is a very nice location and our party suffers from the damage. We would rather spend the money on big artists that damage the walls with bass than have to pay to scrub and re-paint the walls.
Temple uses bio-degradeable cups that cost a ton, so if you drink water from our handy little cooler, please conserve your cups. You are allowed to bring in your own container but it must be empty when you arrive. There are pat downs at the entrance that are targeting weapons, alcohol and items used for graffiti.
After every Ritual, the Irie Cartel will be making a small donation to the Bay Area chapter of the American Red Cross. The money will go towards the next local disaster similar to the San Bruno explosion, or any upcoming earthquake. There will be two machines outside that scan ID's in case someone gets violent and hurts someone. Luckily our scene is very loving and we show each other respect, but we still gotta follow the rules of San Francisco. The entertainment commission has made ID scanning a new law and you will be seeing these machines at more clubs in the coming months, starting with the bigger clubs such as Temple. Your information is not shared with anyone and it is deleted shortly after the night is over. The only way you will be tracked is if you are violent. Do not worry if your ID is expired, you are on probation, or have warrants. The machines are not used to track anyone.
