Wondering if anyone would be able to help..
I have no problem recording stereo mix in Reason 5 and am using the ASIO DIRECTX FULL DUPLEX DRIVER. In an attempt to record stereo mix in FL Studio I have run into a problem as when the driver is set to 'Full Duplex' in the configuration panel it glitches out and plays a very loud constant noise. Having researched the topic online to no avail I wondered if there is something I am missing when trying to configure this in FL Studio? Both programs are legitimate copies so it is not likely to be to do with cracked software and the asio full duplex driver configuration leaves me with hardly any options to change.
Thanks in advance if any of you guys know how to fix the problem

Sounds like a feedback loop to me. If you're using edison, make sure your not sending to the master channel when you record.
For review, drag it into the song, mute edison, and enable the send. There's probably an easier way to do it, but I almost never record into FL studio.
Another thing to consider is that if the signal is a stereo mix already, you could just drag/import the audio file into the playlist screen.

Syza, I don't know what you are trying to do. If you could ask that question a little more clearly, I think I, or someone else, can help you.

Thanks Siderealdb I'll look into what you've said, a feedback loop sounds like what's occurring as it just plays a repetitive noise over and over. Nowaysj, basically I'm trying to get FL Studio to record whatever audio is coming out of the speakers on my computer by using the ASIO DirectX Full Duplex Driver and am having trouble getting it to record without glitching. At present I've been able to record the audio but I can't hear what is recorded unless I change my driver to a default one such as SoundMAX. Thanks for the reply

on your mixer. look at the bottom right and press the out tab and see if you can choose speakers or whatever yours will be called. if you cant hear anything playing while its set to asio its usually because you need to choose your out.

Thanks for all the replies, I managed to sort the problem and it was exactly what Siderealdb had said, the fact I hadn't unchecked the send to master channel had created a feedback loop and prevented the recording. Mods feel free to lock the thread
