Its one of those tunes that wouldnt quite do it justice sound wise being played digitally.

I've got a digital copy, which if they didn't do a release must have been recorded from vinyl, explain to me how that would sound any different?

Thats not actually true. DMZ 001 - 009 were released as 320 kbps mp3's on bleep a long while back, this is well known..
