Is it a collab or a remix?

I used to love KoRn.

Saw a recent flyer for Download festival and they're even under Pendulum on the flyer now, oh how the mighty have fallen :(

hahaha well it wasn't the dynamics, so i guess it must be the sound.

If you were to put a clean 'wav' version of that tune on a spectrum analyser, I do believe it will be hitting multiple frequencies, more than your standard tunes.

Now I have been listening to this Dubstep sound for a very long time, so I know alot about this music, and i'm feeling this track. I have no prefernce of style of this music, if I like it, that's it.

I am no bandwagon jumper, who disses a sound, because it's deemed as un popular, we all have different takes on music.

what does hitting frequencies have to do with dynamics?

dynamics is a sound's range of loud to soft, as well as when, how, and why it modulates across that range. It's really important to a lot of people to make a track enjoyable, and there isn't any in a lot of this tearout biz.

of course hitting different frequency ranges affects one's perception of a tune's dynamics. meaning it could all be more or less a constant volume, but if you have bits where it's dampened and very subby, transitioning into something with more upper frequencies it can feel like its gotten louder when it hasn't really. Any way u wanna do it, just as long as you build a tune that can be perceived as dynamic. At least let some of your drums peak up over the mishmosh of synths and noise u might've opted for.

Really? under Pendulum, that's pretty sad, I love the old school Korn, they got some serious tracks. As for there 'Dubstep' I dont like it, I dont wanna hear any more fro,m them, but then, its like 15 seconds, and there musicians, proberly just messing around with different styles etc. Doubt (really hope) there not gonna take it to seriously and leave it with that (or keep it to themselves)

Yeah just to be clear, that's not an actual wav of this tune, but I can't imagine it's much different!

KoRn are awesome would make me sad to see them produce a dubstep track. They were good at what they did no reason to delve into other genres
