Hi all, as stated in the title i guess. im a rock drummer have been for the last 15 odd years. i recently got into dubstep in a big way. After seeing a few vids on youtube i got thinking about having a go at trying something different. i would like to try and record maybe even gig with a DJ im based near oxford but willing to travel a bit. but im unsure where to start. so im hoping this forum will be able to point me in the right direction really. Any help would be great. many thanks Aaron

cool idea, i used to mess about playing along to dubstep and attempting to keep up with DnB back when i had my drumkit

You should check out Tek-One live performances, I saw them live once and the drummer hammers like a fucking blacksmith !!!

Also check out Engine-EarZ Experiments Maida Vale session. They have a live drummer in that iirc.

DJ Fu vs Jungle Drummer Ft. Stamina MC on vocal duties... obviously it's Drum & Bass but the skills are transferable! DJ Fu is from Oxford btw
I've always wanted to try a DJ vs drummer combo but I fear almost 60 miles may be too far for you to travel! I live in Stroud, Gloucestershire...

Jam1, my parents live in the forest of dean so im traveling to and from there all the time plus i have some very good friends in stroud so i would be happy to travel maybe meet in glos there was a practice studio bye the matchstick factory. im up for a jam mixing most kinds of music really dubstep d&b house anything with a live DJ even better if we could get an MC. let me know if yoir interested??
