Best/worst sound system you have heard?

For me DMZ is high in the ranks, pure bass weight. Plastic people system of course kills it. Various reggae roast and Trojan sound systems as well. Worst system id say cable in London bridge absolutely shocking couldn’t hack the music for shit (though I hear it’s been improved somewhat). Squat rave system can be fairly dangerous to a point I have found leaving the warehouse with next to no hearing and a pain in your ears afterwards for days.
What are your thoughts?

Best, probably 9bar when they host the liquid DnB room at Raindance a few years back.
Worst, Inigo in Clapham. Little more than suspended hi-fi speakers with little or no bass capabilities.

Yes.
Corsica Studios
Matter
Iration Steppas
Well disappointed with the sound in the Gramaphone. There was 0% bass weight the last time I went there. Haven't been back since.
Also bass nights in small pubs. Saw Pangaea in a nice pub in Angel, only problem was there were no subs and it was full of Nathan Barley's.
Notez, your a regular at CDR nights right?

Um...unfortunately not, i'm a poor student in oxford so can't afford regular trips down to london. What are these CDR nights though?

Ah right must be a producer called Notez instead then. CDR night is a night at plastic people where (if your luckly) you can hear your track on the PP sound system.

Best
VALVE Soundsystem
Brixton Mass Rig + Funktion 1 (DMZ)
Corsica Funktion 1
Plastic People
Matter Soundsystem Room 1
Trojan (20k soundsystem playing reggae roast this Friday in Shoreditch!)
Worst
Lots are disappointing but can usually be countered by standing in the right place.
I'm usually dissapointed with both Scala and The Coronet...

Jah Tubby's was something special, you are literally moved.
Mungo's rig is immense.
Whatever they had at motion for subloaded bday bash (a tonne of psyko subs or however you spell um).

Mm they seem to change the sound there about a year ago and it was much better before. I use to rank it as one of the best sound wise that I heard.

I noticed they had Funktion One tops but the subs weren't. They were massive, actually looked more like 21" than 18" units. Which was why I was suprised and annoyed when I went about a year ago that the sub gain level was so weak in comparision to the highs. It's probably just a case of somebody not setting the gain levels right on the amps. Hopefully its got nuff weight for the Mindstep label launch night that's on the 15th this month :]
Looking forward to hearing Mungos at this Outlook!

Mungo's is probably the best rig I've ever heard.
I've heard a few rigs which are louder than Mungo's, but nothing has matched the combined bass weight and clarity of the Mungo's Hi-fi for me!
Such a nice rig. Massively bassy without being uncomfortable like Void. Sounds like 40k to me but its only 20. Big up Mungo's.

My favourite soundsystem is Aba-Shanti-I, although he only ever seems to play on that himself. Iration Steppas was immense when I heard dubstep on it back at Exodus in September, although I've never enjoyed dub on it, always set up really badly. Jah Tubby's is also large!

Mass soundsytem (funktion 1)
Mungo's hi fi is quality although i dunno if any of you were at outlook when roska was halfway through his set and the whole system died :/ Apparently that was something to do with a generator though. Still was absolutley quality for dmz amongst others
