Your Favorite Reaktor Ensembles

Post by howiegroove » Thu Apr 07, 2011 5:10 pm

Hey everyone, I was wondering what everyones favorite Reaktor ensemble is. I fell like that there are alot of them out there that are amazing and can do some great things, but there are also alot that are just either wayyyy too complicated or they dont really do useful things.

RAZOR FTW!!

other than that..

Analog Sound School
Carbon
Lazerbass (but that one falls into the more complicated category)

but Razor is so freakin easy to understand, automate, enjoy

I really cant reccomend it more

it's re-kindled my love affair with Reaktor

I really like Metaphysical Function. I loaded up some of my field recordings in there and totally got lost in some ambient soundscape electro-acoustic world for like an hour (as in I loaded up a recording, randomly pushed some buttons and then just let that shit play).

The more I hear about Razor and watch some of the vids, the more interested I am in it. Sounds very cool.

I have not heard the Analog Sound School ensemble, I will have to search that one out.

I honestly feel the same way. Thats why I brought up the thread. Its super easy and laid out sooooo well. I cringe when I hear additive synthesis, but this is so smooth and sounds amazing. I was wondering if there are other gems like Razor out there. Paid OR free.

howiegroove is correct. (sadly)

From http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4441824

""This is the second reply I got from NI when I asked for a demo version:

"The Mouth" is an effect and because of legal reasons we're not able to
supply any demos for our sound packs or -> effects at all. Unfortunately there is
no demo of "The Mouth". ""

I love Carbon and Space drone is pretty cool (I haven't used it that much but my housemate last year was getting some sick sounds out of it).

I got it too.

I had already downloaded Spawn and the rest of them, but clicked on the link to refresh my memory of their synths and got a trojan horse warning.

With that said, these are great sounding synths!!

Yeah I was fine too but im on a mac. I have Spawn and Dusk. They are ok though. Good for simple bass sounds. I feel like Reaktor is more of a well put together ensemble then these. They look nice though and have great functionality and sound amazing. Just cant get too deep wtih them.

Prism, and some of my own granular stuff I've been building for years, deconstructing other ensembles figuring them out and re-building to suit my needs.
