Hey all.

So, id just simply like to share these 2 for Feedback :) Working on an EP (with 3 tunes) for myself, just for fun.
First one is a snippet, and second one is just a WIP. Just like to know what you think!
(also want to know if the tunes fit well-enough together for an ep, third tune still to come up.)

The quality is ill dude. Seems like everyone on these forums knows alot more about what they're doing than I do. :l

I like the tunes, although not my style exactly. Check out some of my shit! It's in my siggy :]

im really liking the bass on those tracks. the one thing i would say is maybe shorten the intros a little bit, and also bring out the treble a ton! i can hear the sub fine, but i cant hear the high-end wobbling as much as id like to. otherwise, those tracks are sick!

Thanks all! appreciate your feedback and thoughts on my tracks :]

@ Kinky: (listened to the one in your sig) Really work on your Mixdown, your bass sound is overpowering EVERYTHING haha, cant even hear the drums clearly anymore (or any other sound fo that matter), and it sounds like the bass is clipping? That is pretty much all I've got for you know haha. Go to the production forum and look in the "want to make dubstep? Start here" thread, there is a link to "the moneyshot" thread, read that! it will help you tons ;). I also know with what you mean with youre not being as proper as most people on the forums, Everyone has had that, Im sure. When I first started out I couldn't compete with anyone. (still think Im not really good incomparance with most on here)

@Illdilusions: Liked the vibe it had, havent heard such a thing yet really haha. Except your kick sounds like its very far in the back, and when your bass comes in it overpowers alot of the other elements in your tune. Sometimes I also feel it doesnt 'fit' with the rest of the tune. Also your levels dont really seem right. Keep going tho! :) idea is there.

@TheSoup: (listened in your sig) Sick! I like the quality of your tune and the melody ;D Drums could stand out a bit more in the mixdown, but other than that, pretty awesome ;D

Good production man. First track sounds more robotic and second one is way filthier. I like this kind of dubstep and this is good quality.
Big Ups!

I'll be brutally honest with you, and that's because I see you've got potential and someone needs to tell you so you won't get stuck for a long period of time.

Listen to the pro songs, can you hear their reeces? Do you hear the fullness and the movement?

I'd take a few weeks just trying to make your reeces sound thicker and more complicated. When your track drops, there's nothing wrong with the drums/melody/effects... but there is no, OOMPH.

Don't despair.

Stop using massive (if you're doing that), download fm8 and z3ta+ and fm your way to some gritty bass!

I just made this short thing with Z3ta+.. Granted there are no wobbles and it's by no way perfect, but with some tweaking/cutting you could get a pretty phat drop.

Later, keep at it!

Yeah, the reward is from knowing the software.

If you check out tutorials and read slowly through the whole manual, you'll learn how to make better sounds than you do with massive within, let's say, 2 weeks.

4 Weeks and you've mastered it... 6 months later and you'll be unstoppable.

Keep up the good work! :D

Dude this is the most waste post Ive ever read, dont give advice if you dont know what you're saying. The synth makes no difference, they are both just means to the same end. A reese is a universally applicable concept, its an additive phenomenaun what to do with phase shifting interactions of detuned waveforms, THE SYNTH DOES NOT MATTER, THE PROGRAMMER DOES.

And how is giving someone a preset/sample/whatever your link is going to help them learn anytihng at all about synthesis?
