Datsik himself explains his bass.
Now if only skrillex could do a interview like this, DSF would be like new without all these questions left and right.
Nobody should ask anymore questions about how he approaches making basslines cause he clearly states it in here,

You know saying what he said about becoming more musical and wanting to focus on melodies says a lot of things about this genre....
Like just the fact that an already successful musician could say that...

I liked the part about kids having their "filth wars" and how if it's not done proper it's just annoying!

then again there are a few threads about how do i where the artist pops up and answers the question some what and people seem to miss the fact they popped up and answered it and keep prattling on
Re: Datsik himself explains his bass.
haha, yeah - I remember one thread where somebody explained exactly how to get Datsik's and Datsik posted a comment saying "yeah, that's basically it" - apparently detailed descriptions of the bassmaking process just don't cut it for some people these days!!deadly habit wrote:especially since him and excision themselves have popped up here and answered questions beforeGRAYSKALE wrote:You'd think this would be the end of it . . . not likely mate!!RandoRando wrote:Now if only skrillex could do a interview like this, DSF would be like new without all these questions left and right.

there was the thread someone asked a question about mt kimbie something they answered and it went unnoticed for a bit toobigfootspartan wrote:GRAYSKALE wrote:haha, yeah - I remember one thread where somebody explained exactly how to get Datsik's and Datsik posted a comment saying "yeah, that's basically it" - apparently detailed descriptions of the bassmaking process just don't cut it for some people these days!!I remember one post in particular. It was something like "guys, I'm pretty sure that he's just saying that to throw us off the right track. I did all that and it didn't sound close... I bet he's just worried about competition."

there's been quite a few lil instances like this that are worth a chuckle
Re: Datsik himself explains his bass.
People carried on asking how to make Rusko's sounds for ages, even after he'd provided the people with a half an hour video explaining near enough all the intricacies of his production process - which included a how to on how to get his signature bass sound!! These torrent "I want to make tunes better than Datsik with zero experience in music theory, production, engineering, sound design, how come I can't do it by spending 15 secs building a patch on massive" steppers are just never satisfieddeadly habit wrote:there was the thread someone asked a question about mt kimbie something they answered and it went unnoticed for a bit toobigfootspartan wrote:GRAYSKALE wrote:haha, yeah - I remember one thread where somebody explained exactly how to get Datsik's and Datsik posted a comment saying "yeah, that's basically it" - apparently detailed descriptions of the bassmaking process just don't cut it for some people these days!!I remember one post in particular.
