Great that you're female we're definitely lacking, but must you play the card so hard?
Remember, promoting yourself as female will stack the odds against you..best to just do your thing as a DJ and earn respect..your talent will shine through regardless.

im pretty sure her talents shining through anyway! on big tings. large up raggs.

It's good advice in the long run. Don't want to politicize your thread though Raggs got a tendency to do that.

Don't feel bad I've had comments like that from girls before.

Dubstep came from places in South London called Streatham and Croydon - where I live, and was created by El-B (Ghost) whose album my first 2 releases are coming out on, Benny Ill (Horsepower) whom I work with on radio and in the studio (see Mixcloud account), Zed Bias (who is supporting my mixes on Twitter); I've known Hatcha Crazy D and a few other key members from the days of UK Garage before Dubstep existed when i wasted many many hours in the infamous record shop 'Big Apple Records', where Hatcha worked and Artwork (Magnetic Man) produced.

I'm currently working with Cotti, Coki, Chef, Benny Ill, El-B, Darkside, Lost, Shiverz, and many other key Dubstep figures, so if you'd like some input for your blog, do get in touch.

I do play the FEMALE card at times because I believe there are an enormous amount of talented musical women who are put off by male domination in the industry, so I like to be able to show them that if you believe in yourself, and work on your talents, that your music will speak for itself, and people will respect that you have made it in music not for how you look, but for how you sound.

That is one of the reasons I have chosen a name that doesn't have 'Miss' or 'Ms' in it - as I wish to be judged for my music specifically - I regularly get called 'bro' & 'bruv' !

I think people are interested in a female producer/DJ/artist because women tend to take you on more of a 'journey' when they produce and DJ, in a different way that men do.

I'm sorry that you were unable to see it that way and wish you luck with your forum posting and blogging.

Do a regular radio show aswell.
Love listening to yours, always a great set, you caught my eye quite a while ago tbh! Good to see your doing better and better! Large up!
