Hey! I was hoping to snatch some feedback! I think I polished it up, but there's always room for improvement. This tune is kinda dark and a bit experimental, and at 129 bpm.
Soundcloud
Anyways, I know you're all busy at work/school at the moment, but if you could take a couple minutes to check it out I'd greatly appreciate it!

this is massive got real potential- it's just not really weird enough (for me)haha
it's really well mixed and yeah i think that takes some of the rawness away from it- i'd like to see louder snares, more reverb trails hanging around and random hits going off in the background- mmake it more ominous than the kind of shiny (poppy?) mixing youve got so far
the melody and rhythms are spot in though big ups

Big up, thanks for the feedback! That's a good call, I always find it hard to get the right balance between something being polished and raw!

Sounding good mate, start enjoying it but then it sorta just finishes, i think it might be a good idea to drop down to some stripped down variation or something. Also i think it needs a bit more depth in the mix, panning and some eq etc. might work nicely.
Hope thats helpful, just uploaded a tune too if you fancy sending some feedback my way.

I like it, it makes me think of tyrannosaurus rex vs Tyrannosaurus rex in the middle of a crowder city street, which is to say big and awesome. And I like that it is different and not just like everything else, that is something I have been striving for really hard myself, although I am still totally confining myself to a genre, and that wont be changing any time soon, lol.
Feedback for feedback?

blippy into synth doesn't seem to fit with the darker elements of the atmosphere you're building imo, nice build up before the drop though, and the atmosphere as a whole is pretty groovy, when the drop comes in it's pretty cool, im hearing a lot of industrial sounding stuff today, whats with that? I think if the bass was a bit heavier this could be pretty awesome but at the minute it seems a bit drowned out I'd love to hear it brought out a little more, there's a lot of really cool sounds in here, nice work over all man.

Thanks! That's a good call on the bass. I always have trouble when I do more atmospheric things, I want everything to be noticeable, and then drown out the main bass elements. Thanks for the feedback, fresh ears always help when it comes to a good mix down/synth levels.
I think the influx of industrial tunes can be attributed to that thread about 'artists like vex'd'. Just so many good ideas in that thread! The new Tech Itch, Hive and Machine Code stuff got me all excited...

Like the intro so far, would be even better if you were automatic volumes and pans so it felt like it was moving around the room a bit. Loving the drums when they come in initially, gives it a feeling it's marching a bit, building up nicely. You've got some nice bass going on there, definitely some tight processing, it comes across to me that there's just too much mid range in the bass which might be overpowering the mix, maybe seeing what it sounds like with a cut in the 250-800hz area might prove beneficial and give you more room to work with.
Taking nothing away from it though, it's fucking well made!! Good work
