Right maybe you're a lazy tnuc and want a "definitive answer" instead of doing your own legwork and sticky reading.
Well the answer is, we can't tell you how you're going to do it. There's no set style, there's no set way, of producing brostep. It comes from you, your own influences... Do you really want to make a track exactly like Vaski? Then we can tell you exactly how he's done it (or try to) to a point...but still you'll never get it 100% like that track. Producing is 99% perspiration 1% inspiration.
discipline yourself first with basic production techniques and learn your DAW and learn how to produce ANY genre (assuming you're a beginner) and then start branching out to specific "subgenres"

Re: How to make tracks like this? Brostep?
I've actually been producing for years, not EDM, so much, but, more of just the metal stuff I've been writing over the years. Been working on EDM for about a year and a half, and I use the same DAW for it as I used to, a combination of FL Studio and Sony ACID Pro. I'm just looking for a good way to get that morphing, lower mid-range crunch, but I want something a little more old school sounding than MASSIVE, I mean, MASSIVE's a great synth, but, I want something more analog-ish.
Re: How to make tracks like this? Brostep?
When did producing become about imitation and immediate gratification? I swear half the new people on this forum are in to producing so they can impress their friends with their d1rtyy dr0pzz.
If you want to produce, learn from the ground up.
