FL mixer preset

Post by s3f » Fri Apr 15, 2011 4:30 pm

this forum has taught me a lot of what i know about production so i thought it was time to give something back to the community. :w: so i'm sharing my fruity loops template (imageshack), which features:

* colourful theme!
*individual channels for 3 kick drums, 3 snares, 3 hihats, 3 percussion instruments
* group channels for each of those
*group channel for drums
*channel for sub
*frequency splitting for lead synth (low, mid, hi) via fruity multiband compressor
*inserts for microphone and guitar (kinda pointless i know)
*sends for reverb, delay and (parallel) compression
*db meters on the group channels
*some standard fx on the channels (compression, eq, filters), turned off by default
*all vsts are either standard FL or freeware (i.e. the "classic" vst series, highly recommended :U: )

this template has significantly improved my workflow because i don't have to worry about setting up any of my routings and can just get started with some idea. feel free to change and share this. get your favorite samples for the drums in there. change the vsts, blabla.

to set this up simply put the .flp into the FL templates folder and choose it from files menu -> new from template.

get the file here: https://rapidshare.com/files/457565264/dubstep.flp

i hope someone will be able to use this. i'd really appreciate feedback or suggestions for improvement :Q:
