I don't understand how some people can't make this, is it you can't make it easy on the ears, or they generally can't comprehend the structure of dubstep. It is probably, nay, it is the easiest dance music genre to make. I mean honestly, it's just a simple drum beat consisting of kicks, snares and the occasional high hat and rhythmic bass sounds, which cover up the drum beat, making it even more useless. You don't need any music theory skill what so ever to make dubstep, it's that easy. And don't even get me started on those dubstep remixes; you're doing nothing. All you're doing is harmonizing, adding poor effects and drowning it with bass. It's not skillful. Why is it the "filthier" it is, the better? That's just an excuse morons make to justify their laziness, not lack of skill, because dubstep takes no skill.

i think the proper mix and flow of melody and bass is hard in house

and it dubstep can be easy or hard it all depends. and i believe dubstep is a lot about proper production and sound design. where more musical genres aren't as hard to produce but may be harder to create melodically.

Yeah, to make dubstep it's easy. To get it to sound good is another story. Mixing, mastering, properly adding reverbs, panning, groove, and creativity is something you don't just throw on top of a 1&3 Sub Bass progression. Dubstep is a genre, yes, but it doesn't mean you have to be like everyone else. Being different is where the effort goes.

house is easy. but coming up with complextro patterns and whatnot like what one of my friend does is hard well I haven't tried but just from hearing complextro songs it can get pretty complex (pun intended even though it wasn't funny).
