De-loused is an incredible music journey, one of the best modern rock albums for sure. Can't say the same for Nevermind, Unplugged in New York is the best Nirvana album by far. My pick:

Im really tired, quite ill too (just coming over a weird flu)..

Put on De-Loused fairly low on the monitors, layed in bed reading the latest Tape-Op getting ready for some sleep.

Ended up on the edge of my bed with my eyes wide-open thinking.. "This album changes my whole perspective of music every time I listen too it"

Essential listening.

+1 for Endtroducing - though ive NEVER been able to digest it start > finish, in like 10 years.

I was actually surprised when I opened this thread and didn't see the cover of In the Aeroplane Over the Sea... Then I remembered where I am :P I need to stop hanging around hipster boards :P

(still the best album ever though)

+1 For Bjork's Post.

Personally I'd say ISIS's Panopticon is the perfect album. I'm fascinated with how they create such organic music. Each track is it's own breathing entity, and moreso the whole album is an organic entity. Each instrument weaves in and out of your perception, but if you listen to it again you'll focus on different elements and get even deeper into it. I wrote a whole paper about it one time.

ISIS has by far gotten the concept album down. It's not about cheesy story lines with them, but it's about a theme, and then they explore that theme in different corners with each tune, and yet every tune meshes together. It's like they're opening your mind and helping you see the world how they see it, think of concepts how they think of them. That's a true concept album, it explains things in an abstract way, through a sonic medium instead of some random story.

I probably sound like a huge fanboy now, but they've definitely made the perfect album with Panopticon, and I'd say they came close with Wavering Radient.
