Amon Tobin Isam

Post by Ongelegen » Thu Apr 21, 2011 9:18 am

Anybody got this/listened to this? Tracks are on his SC and you can purchase the the digital release now as it was pushed forward. Just bought it :)

Had a quick listen and quite like it, Its more soundscape-ish then his previous albums, but the sound design is awesome.
Lots of granular stuff going on.

All of his tunes are incredible.
I love the Chaos theory albumn and Foley Room was moving more toward the soundscape side.
He also did an albumn of more Hip-hop Glitch style beats.
With mc's and what not spitting some rhymes.

All in all he`s just great.

Sound Design of the highest quality.

Thinking of pre-ordering it...

But what I've heard from the website clips, the sound design is stunning.

dont you think most of the so called sound designers these days are advertising themselves with these fully chaotic soundscapish releases,,,maybe they want to be found by the moviemakers...

i personally like the beats and the musical music most...

I still prefer hecq

more of an arranged chaotics,,,

also eight frozen modules is a nice example but that was back in the days when the soundquality meant nothing to me

You dude, took a listen.
He certainly has some serious design skills.
I just have a place in my heart for Amon Tobin.
I really love his style of flowing beats.
In and out, up and down.

Have been listening to this the past week, love it. As I said earlier the sound design is tha bomb shit. Also the attention for small details is amazing, still hearing new things everytime I listen. Highly recommended!

This is fucking awesome, best album I have heard in a while. Can't wait to buy this, and listen to it at full blast on my monitors in the dark.

Technical-wise best producer I've heard by a long way, just meticulous. Anyone seeing him at the roundhouse? I don't really know what to expect from the live show.
