Audio Kontrol 1 Driver Problem

Hi, I'm about to go fish around the native forums, but I thought I'd ask here too in case anyone has had the same problem.
Yesterday I upgraded the drivers to the new version 2 ones, however it didn't work and the device was no longer recognised. Therefore I did a full uninstall and reinstall of the drivers and software. The device now comes up in FL studio, however it is not an option in the windows sound settings and therefore I can't play system sounds, the midi is also not recognised in FL...
Any ideas?
